Wivelscombe.) 1861 - 54 yrs, retired farmer, boarding with Gamlin family at Bowler Hill, Bampton Devon, while rest of the family are living in Charles, Plymouth. 1871 - 64 widower, manure maker, boarding with widwer Gamlin and his family in the farmhouse at Bowbier Hill, Bampton.Died aged 69 yrs.

PROBATE: 16 May - John. Effects under £800. The will of John Besley late of Plymouth in the County of Devon, merchant who died 16 April 1876 at Plymouth, was proved at the Principal Registry by Henry Besley of 1 Gascoyne Place, Plymouth, draper the son ana one of the Executors.

With her are two sons Robert and Henry.

Returned from Australia via London in October 1876 for a visit after the deaths of both his sister and father, aged 38. Died aged 61 yrs in Bruthen, Victoria.
