There are some families that really drive you nuts and this is one of those! Why couldn't they just stay in one parish. The biggest help here is the name Ann Phillis - quite unusual to have two Christian names in this era - even more so in working class families.

Now I have no idea yet who John's parents are but I have put other Ball families of this era in this area below.
